i went there again today...hehe. i know! i should be doing my work, but still..D:
the day started bad? sort of. meant to wake up early and do work, but i didn't wake up at all ): so we went a little later than planned. when we reached, we walked around abit. i knew what i wanted to get -postcards to use for my classmates' birthday cards. since there were people complaining...... >: so i walked around Artists Alley for abit with my sis
visited tanpopo's booth again. she's an artist going by the name tanpopo, and her real name is Camilla D'errico. she seems pretty nice. she had fan freebies to give away, and had a autograph session. i got one with her signature on it! yay! ...ahem, yeah. this is her website -> [link]. haven't had the chance to go tho..
bought the guide first thing actually, and a bit sad that i missed the first 100 thingy. ah well. watever. and we spent a good a part of our time looking at shirts from dooperdoo, a company? that i think, came up with Happy Tree Friends. yeahyeah, you sadists out there are happy. we bought the ones with tofu oyako on it, and one with another design that did not! involve any Happy Tree Friend character. thank gosh.. then we went looking around for the ice-cream truck, which was sold out! damn, but still. it was still in stock yesterday, and sold out today! oh well..no yuan fen? no...fate to have it. yeah, that's the translation.

saw totoro hats and furuba(fruits basket) hats, as well as a black cat. i don't remember where the cat was from though..anyway, was really tempted to buy, since it was $10! and really cute..i'll put the pic on some time...heehee. maybe maybe not. tried on other hats as well, but it seemed the cat one fits me best meow!

then i went shopping for my stuff. heh. Artists Alley had so many power artists, put me to shame sia. but also gave me inspiration to start drawing again, but can't!! urgh, cos need to finish up alll the assignments first. eventually i got most of the postcards from a Thai design studio called 2:spot studio (www.2-spot.com) really cute stuff! the designer (i think she was) was really nice and pretty kapurmkap to you too!
....something i realised when i reached home, was that i bought 2 of the same designs! D: but oh well, i'll give the extra money to them..sigh. dunoo if they'll let me change though..
couldn't resist getting a panda postcard from this designer, Sikan Techakaruha, from Thailand. (hmm, seems like i have an affinity with thai designers ) she seems to be a designer leaning towards the character design and illustration side..she calls her place studioaiko and here's her website: [link]. another reeeally nice and pretty lady
got another bookmark from heehee and other little freebies as well. i really like the postcards from this place, but no idea what's it called..it had a really cute sunflower chara design

also played gashapon, but got really REALLY mad at the in-charge. i tonk-ed in 4 coins, and he was all 'why you put in 4 coins? really meh?' my sis got mad and raised her voice at him..he finally went to the booth after making us wait around and checked the mechanics. he fiddled around and kept repeating 'nothing wrong, dun have your coins ar'. he was SO OBVIOUSLY accusing me of a LIAR! so i just stood there and let him check. finally when he tried tonking in the coins and -HA!- it got stuck, he found that I WASN'T lying -surprise surprise!- and found 7 coins [3 from him, 4 from me]. Finally! it got fixed and i was able to turn the damned thing. was playing for Evangelion, but rei didn't come out D: i got asuka and the class monitress. though they were pretty cute still, but i wanted Rei D: reeei.. should i try again tml? i've spent $6 on it..if i play anymore, it'll be $9 might as well buy the hat, which btw, i didn't buy. i'm going again..heehee.but this time we'll go for a shorter time, since we've been there twice.

this encounter with gashapon really turned me off and wonder why i was so patient for. i don't like this time de gashapon people. the coin changers were such a turn-off, and that old uncle too..treating me like a liar almost didn't want to buy it anymore..if that's how they treat a customer with a problem with THIER machines, i think they can go to __________(fill in the blanks : D)
